Timing

Please note the following dates:

• First round matches to be completed by 18 May 12

• Second round matches to be completed by 22 June 12

• Quarter Final matches to be completed by 20 July 12

• Semi finals matches to be completed by 24 August 12

• Finals will be played over the weekend of 8 and 9 September 12

These are the LATEST dates to complete matches: PLEASE play well before if at all possible, particularly in any preliminary rounds.

Plate Competitions - Singles

A plate competition will be held in the singles competitions provided there are at least 8 entries. The draw will be issued once the second round has been completed.

Junior Tournaments

As well as the U16s Single competition, the club is planning to hold a day of competitions again this year for Junior members of the club on Sunday 15 July 2012.

There are again 3 trophies to be played for at Beginners, Intermediates and Junior level.  Dependent on the response and entry numbers, the age groupings are likely to be:

• Age 10 but under 12 on 1 Sep 11         Beginners
   

• Age under 15 on 1 Sep 11                   Intermediates
   

• Age under 18 on 1 Sep 11                   Junior

We may need to adjust the groupings slightly if we get too many entrants in one particular age group.  Boys and girls will compete on an equal footing and all games will be singles.

We plan to start at 1200 and run each competition over a 2 hour spell starting with the youngest and ending with the oldest group.  Approximate timings are:

• Beginners          1200 - 1400
   

• Intermediates    1400 - 1600
   

• Juniors              1600 - 1800

Snacks and drinks will be provided during the day and parents are encouraged to come along and support or help organise / umpire.
